I have grown up eating this Chana Poha in Mangalore when I was schooling and it would keep me going until lunch. All you need to do is soak black grams at night and boil them in pressure cooker in the morning.
Then soak thick poha in a strainer and keep aside.
Meanwhile, heat coconut oil and fry mustard seeds, carom seeds, green chillies, dried red chillies, crushed garlic, pinch asafoetida, curry leaves, onion and turmeric powder. Now add the boiled chana, soaked poha, and lastly add fresh lime juice and garnish with coriander leaves. This breakfast is ideal for growing kids. You can pack it for kids' lunch boxes.
