TANDOORI GRILLED SPIRAL (TORNADO) POTATOES RECIPE:
Ingredients:
1 Potato, washed
A sharp kitchen knife
1 tsp Tandoori masala powder
1 tsp Paprika powder
1/4 tsp salt
Melted butter for brushing the potatoes
Coriander leaves with stems for garnishing as shown in the pictures
Method:
Keep an extra cutting board on the regular cutting board so that when you cut the potato, it doesn't cut through all the way, but only cuts 3/4th of the depth.
After you cut one side, turn over and cut in a slanting shape
Now when you open it, it will have a spiral shape, like a spring
Now stick some coriander stems in the gaps of the potato so that you can sprinkle the spice mixture in the gaps of the potato
Sprinkle Tandoori spice mixture on the potato & the gaps
Sprinkle some fresh coriander leaves too
Brush some melted butter on both sides of the potato
Preheat the oven at 180C
Place the potatoes on a grilling rack and grill until they turn crisp
Enjoy warm potatoes with Tomato Ketch-up !
