Author: Curry for the Soul

Recipe Type: Kids favourite

Cuisine: Indo-Italian

Serves: 5

Ingredients:

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry (Pampus) or any good brand, slightly thawed

  • 2-3 tbsp Nutella, slightly melted for 10 seconds in micro

  • 1 egg beaten for brushing

  • Icing sugar for sprinkling to give the snow falling effect

Method:

  1. Take 2 puff pastry sheets, one on top of another and cut out a triangle tree shape

  2. Cut out the bottom portion to make the tree trunk

  3. Now remove the extra strips from either side at the bottom and also on the top portion

  4. Remove the top puff pastry and keep it aside

  5. Melt Nutella for 10 seconds in micro and spread it on the 1st sheet

  6. Now place the second sheet on the 1st sheet

  7. Draw an imaginary line in the centre

  8. Cut out branches on either side of the tree

  9. Twist each strip twice; the top ones can be twisted once

  10. Now brush egg-wash on the Christmas tree

  11. Slide it on a baking tray and bake at 180 C for 15 mins or until golden brown

  12. Sprinkle icing sugar from top with the help of a strainer to give the snow falling effect.
