ROSETTE COOKIES FOR CHRISTMAS

Hey guys, want to learn how to make some fun cookies which are especially made during Christmas season?

These light, crispy cookies are made with All purpose flour and coconut milk and are fried to golden brown perfection using a special iron mould. They are favourite of young and old. Just serve them for the party and watch them disappear in no time.

Here is the recipe for the traditional Rosette Cookies

Prep time: 5 mins. Cook time: 3 mins for each batch . Total time: 15 mins.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tbsp white sugar

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 cup coconut milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • Rosette cookie mould

  • Oil for frying

Method:

  1. Combine eggs, sugar, salt, vanilla extract and coconut milk.

  2. Mix it well with an electric egg beater

  3. Now add the flour and beat well to get a thick heavy cream like consistency

  4. Heat oil in a kadai

  5. Dip the mould in hot oil for a minute

  6. Drain on a paper towel

  7. Immediately dip into batter

  8. Gently dip in hot oil and shake it slightly to drop the batter in oil

  9. When slightly pink, flip it over

  10. Remove when golden brown and drain on a paper towel

  11. Again dip the mould in hot oil and continue the same process for other cookies

  12. When cool, store them in an airtight container
